It has a simple story about a group of teenagers fighting monsters with some planes that transform into robots when they combine together, but the execution is why it works so well. This is a show where our heroes melt the monster of the week’s ice attack with the burning desire in their hearts to see girls in swimsuits, where a man delivers an impassioned speech about how you should give up on your dreams because you have no talent, and where one of the primary antagonists curls up into the fetal position after his girlfriend is stolen from him (100% serious here.)Īnd don’t forget the ghostbuster’s parody episode. All the characters are huge atypical weirdos unlike the heroes you’d expect from a super robot styled mecha action anime, and I’m thankful It isn’t like other anime, it isn’t cliched, or predictable, you have no idea what to expect in any episode. Logos is a very weird show, but that’s why it’s so great. (Uh yeah, it’s a spinoff guys.) or just being generally weird, which it is. My favorite mecha anime in a long time, Aquarion Logos is a tragically misunderstood show that seems to get unwarranted hate for not being a sequel to the original Aquarion. I like good/entertaining characters, and they gave me the latter, in a silly premise. They make good use of their quirks and made their interaction entertaining. The best parts of the episodes is always the interaction, Akira being totally disconnected from the others from his savior obsession, Maia not knowing anything other than her mission, etc. they are all weird people with funny aspects to them, and their personality mash well together. As for the seiyuu, they fit the characters, that's pretty standard.Ĭharacters, this is where Logos shine.

No Akino/bless4 so far, but May'n makes it up for that imo. I hope you get what I'm trying to say here.Īnyway, Logos has a pretty silly premise, not a great plot so far, but it's very interesting, especially with all the links to the words and whatnot.Īrt? Sure it ain't good, but it shouldn't be the one factor that deters you from watching it. The best part of Sousei? The silly episodes, which was about 3/4 of the show. Aquarion is never about serious plots, you don't watch it for the serious plot, you watch it for the silly character interaction and silly attacks.
